Live For Today

Do not neglect your passion!
I’m so happy to be writing this post and hopefully it will touch one person. I was just laying down when I heard a voice told me to post something about passion in life.
A little about me is that after I left 🇭🇹 (Haiti’s flag), I was still involved in church as I did back home. I was in the youth ministry, choir, band and part of the Sunday School department. I felt that I needed to use my talents for God and I loved every moment.
As you can see from the pictures below, I had a balanced life in my youth even while attending college. I can honestly say that everything stopped after I got married. I wanted to be the best wife ever and devoted all my energy into taking care of the home, husband, and my three angels whom I adore very much.
It is only when I almost had a nervous breakdown last week and realized that I was not living for myself too. I have to be honest with you that I was mad at God for allowing me to go through this pain (divorce) when I played my role in this marriage. I started to get myself together 3 months ago when I finally understood that God is God and I have to put my trust in Him.
However, my battle was so hard to carry last week until God used someone to tell me that I have to carry my cross and follow Him. It was right then and there I realized that I did not let Him have control over my life or my decisions.
Oftentimes, people will tell you don’t go into a divorce without first asking this question “Did God confirm this man or woman for you before you got engaged?” Or “Are you both unhappy and have you tried everything?”
It is funny that it’s when we make our mistakes that we expect God to fix them. God will hold your hands so you don’t fall, but He will eventually let you go through the storm. I’m still going through my storm but one thing I know is that God is with me. I’m learning day by day to find ways to be happy for myself and do things that I used to enjoy. I love to write and I’m currently working on my first book to inspire others that there will always be tomorrow even when it is dark.
Today, I would like to inspire you to live your passion whether you are single or married. If you like to play the piano like I did, don’t stop because now it’s harder for me to read the notes. If you like to write poetry like I do, please don’t stop. Although I’m currently searching for a local church so that I can be involved but I’m slowly doing so because so many churches have left a bad taste in my mouth. I can honestly say that I go so that my kids can have a foundation in Christ (By he way, my daughter is now helping little kids through Awana which is a great organization that she grew up with as a little girl).
My point is that life does not end when you have more responsibilities. We have to balance and prioritize our days while finding happy moments just for us to enjoy. Because the people you put first might forget what you did for them one day, but at least you will have your insanity while living a fulfilled life!
I did not want to share my personal issues unless I was led by the Holy Spirit because this is not my website but every post is for God’s glory!
In His Love,
